Over the course of an evening, you’ll gain hands-on experience of the basic techniques for cultivating mushrooms at home:

• Understanding the life cycle of fungi

• The role of hygiene and sterile workspaces

• Making spore prints, and spore syringes 

• Autoclaving, sterilization, and lab procedures

• Creating grain spawn and preparing coco coir substrate

• Indoor cultivation and building basic fruiting chambers

You’ll work in a dedicated practice laboratory equipped for mycological work, with a maximum of 7 participants to ensure individual guidance.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll receive all the materials you’ve worked with, including:

• Spore prints and spore syringes

• Grain jars

• All materials and laboratory use

• Snacks, and coffee during breaks
